Tools targeted in two Huron County break-ins

Huron County OPP officers are investigating after thieves stole tools from two local businesses.

A break, enter and theft took place at an auto recycling business located on Ausable Line near Huron Park sometime between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. on January 18, 2019. Someone broke in, located and stole a quantity of cash from the business safe. Also stolen were various hand tools, impact guns and a plasma cutter valued at $2,500.

And sometime between December 22 and December 25, a Goderich business on Nelson Street East was forcibly entered through a window. Once inside the business, the thieves stole several items including a Dell computer monitor, a Dell hard drive, a Milwaukee portable drill, a Milwaukee disc grinder and a Mastercraft portable welder. In total, the stolen items are valued at an approximate value of $1,500.
