It's going to be really cold in portions of midwestern Ontario this weekend.
Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the following regions:
- Bruce Peninsula - Sauble Beach - Tobermory
- Saugeen Shores - Kincardine - Southern Bruce County
- Hanover - Dundalk - Southern Grey County
- Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County
- Wingham - Blyth - Northern Huron County
- Goderich - Bluewater - Southern Huron County
- Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County
- Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County
Wind chills will fall to minus 35 or lower Sunday night as temperatures fall well into the minus twenties. Readings will moderate above the warning criteria of minus 30 later on Monday, but are still forecast to be near 25.
The cold snap will break on Tuesday when a milder air mass moves through the region.
