NPX and Bruce Power sign MOU

Bruce Power has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nuclear Promise X to collaborate on modernization projects.

NPX held an open house at its Kincardine facility on Thursday, where they develop innovative initiatives to help with the Major Component Replacement, Engineering and Project Controls.

“The office is home to 10 Innovation Catalysts, with plans to add further staff in January,” said Bharath Nangia, NPX’s CEO. “It is ever so rewarding to work with a customer that seeks and encourages innovation like Bruce Power does.

“We’re going to keep this initiative simple and bring our start-up mindset to making processes a lot easier for staff to navigate. We recognize the vital role that nuclear energy plays in Ontario, and our mission is to undertake projects like this for long-term sustainability.”

The two companies have agreed to blend their skills to implement modern tools and technologies that will digitize processes, such as outage execution.

“We’re excited to expand our partnership with NPX,” said Jay Hitchcock, Bruce Power’sdepartment manager, Business Modernization. “We have been impressed with the work NPX has done with us, and look forward to our ongoing collaboration. This initiative will drive further efficiency improvements and simplify work processes for our staff and partners.”
