A Minto man faces charges in connection to several sexual assaults involving young male victims over the summer.
A report to police on October 2 outlined several sexual assaults that occurred in Wellington North and Centre Wellington Township throughout the summer. The assaults involved the same male suspect but different young male victims.
Wellington County OPP Major Crime Unit launched an investigation that resulted in charges against Raymond Squires, 55, of Minto Township with 13 Criminal Code offences, which include:
- Four counts of sexual interference
- Four counts of sexual assault
- Two counts of invitation to sexual touching
- Three counts of failing to comply with a prohibition order in relation to children
- Providing false information under the Sex Offender Information Registration Act.
- The accused was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
