Dog sought after Bruce trail biting incident

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred on the Bruce Trail near Lion’s Head

It happened on October 13, 2018, at approximately 12 p.m. The dog is described as an Australian cattle dog, blue and greyish in colour.

The dog was being walked by two females along the Lion’s Head Loop of the Bruce Trail at the time of the incident, and they were calling the dog “Scout”.

The staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
