Belmore Duo Hopes To Win Big With DuPont-Pioneer 'Here's to Hometowns' Contest

Two Belmore residents have submitted a video hoping to win $50,000 towards a local community project.

Angela Reinhardt and Kate Dickson are hoping to win a grant from DuPont-Pioneer from the company's Here's to Hometowns contest, which is handing out four $50,000 prizes to communities in Eastern Canada.

The girls hope to use the money to fund renovations of the Belmore Community Centre's Hall, which is frequently used for wing nights, weddings, curling lottery dance and family gatherings. The hall is also used as part of Belmore's famous Maple Syrup, which has been held every year since 1968.

DuPont-Pioneer's Here's to Hometowns contest closes on October 19th. Judging will take place from October 22nd-November 2nd, followed by a public voting period that runs from November 13th-December 10th.
