Bruce Peninsula OPP responded to a plane crash at the airport on Warner Bay Rd. just before 8pm on Canada Day.

The Piper Warrior was attempting to take off from the Tobermory Airport when the pilot, a 50-year-old man from Kitchener, made the decision to abort the take-off.

Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire Department and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene.

There were four people in the plane, and all four sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by EMS.

The plane sustained significant damage as a result of the flipover.
