Ontario is opening 26 new long-term care beds in Hanover.
That brings the number of beds at Village Seniors Community to 96.
The redevelopment plan for the project now enters a Capital and Licensing Review.
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care says it is part of a commitment to creating 5,000 long-term care beds across Ontario in the next four years.
The province says funding for long-term care since 2003 increased from $2.1-billion to more than $4.14-billion.
