North Perth Man Finds Burglars In His Home

A homeowner in North Perth woke up to the sounds of two intruders in his residence in the early morning hours on Sunday.

The two men fled and the resident called the police.

Perth County OPP soon located and arrested two suspects.

A 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, both from North Perth, are facing several charges.

The Perth County OPP are reminding the public that the holiday season is a particularly favourable time for criminals. Unlocked vehicles, houses, and properties are easy targets. When shopping, lock all purchases in the trunk, out of view. Always lock remove the keys from your vehicle, whether at home or away. Securely lock all doors and windows in your home, and keep exterior lighting on during hours of darkness.

"Property crime can be reduced when we work together. Don't provide criminals with easy access to your belongings; remove your keys from your vehicle, every time," says Staff Sergeant Steph Pilon.
