Guns Taken Then Stolen Truck Burned In Huron

Huron County OPP hope the public can help solve the recent theft of a pick up truck that was found smoldering on Glennanon Rd.

Police say the vehicle was stolen from a Holmes Line residence north of Wingham on December 9, around 2am.

The 2007 black Chevrolet Silverado 2500 had an ignition key stashed in centre console. Two rifles, a wallet, two sets of binoculars, and three sets of two way radios were stolen from the truck.

At about 5am, a snowplow operator found the vehicle, which has been destroyed by fire.

Police are looking for a black, “T/C Impact” break action .50 calibre rifle muzzle loader and a black, “Traditions” E bolt 209, .50 calibre rifle muzzle loader with an attached scope
