Second Annual CKNX Relief Truck Doubles Down In 2016

The CKNX Relief Truck Campaign has wrapped up and CKNX's own Buzz Reynolds says he’s again blown away by the generosity in Huron County.

Reynold's says they set a goal to fill two trucks with non-perishable food and other items, such as toiletries, for ten local food banks.

The campaign started December 1 and after the first trailer was filled, the second truck was also quickly filled.

“Saturday morning at 6:30am, this truck was empty. Monday afternoon, it’s full. The generosity of Huron County, continues to amaze me, I just don’t have words to describe it," says Reynolds.

Reynolds also says the people in Huron County have done an unbelievable thing yet again in helping the less fortunate.

“So you know, these two trucks we filled will sustain ten Huron County food banks for six months. I don’t think there’s a better Christmas gift that Huron County residents could have given to their fellow residents than that,” says Reynolds.

Next year, Reynolds believes filling three trucks is a reachable goal.
