Bruce Power Unveils Electric Vehicle Charging Station In Port Elgin

The push for clean energy continues as Bruce Power unveiled yet another charging station on Tuesday for electric vehicles.

The newest edition, which is one of eight units being installed and supported by Bruce Power, was officially unveiled in a highly visible location in Port Elgin right beside the fire hall on Emma St.

“The collaboration between the Town of Saugeen Shores and Bruce Power will benefit our community and environment, especially as EVs become more common on our roads," says Phil Eagleson, fire chief for Saugeen Shores.

The unit is easily accessible to electric vehicle owners with it's proximity to the downtown core.

This newest electric vehicle (EV) charging station was made possible through the collaboration of Bruce Power, Plug 'N Drive, The Town of Saugeen Shores and Owen Sound Nissan.

Last week, Bruce Power unveiled their first electric charging station at the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority's administration building in Wroxeter.
