Perth County OPP say they are now investigating a fatal accident on Highway 23 south of Mitchell.
As a result both the northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 23 will remain closed between Woodham Road and Kirkton Avenue for several hours.
Motorists are once again asked to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
There's no word at this time as to how many vehicles may be involved or the extent of injuries.
Emergency crews remain on scene.
