Perth-Wellington MPP To Keep Eye On Climate Change Action Plan

The first session of the 41st Parliament / Legislative Assembly at Queen's Park has wrapped up for the summer.

Looking back, Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece is concerned about some of the Liberal Government's direction moving forward, primarily their Climate Change Action Plan which Pettapiece finds alarming.

"This natural gas business is something that has really caused a lot of alarm especially in rural Ontario," Pettapiece told CKNX News. "And their Climate Change Action Plan has caused a lot of concern; we're very worried about the government's direction on this especially with the reduction in natural gas that they have been talking about."

Pettapiece says he'll be watching very closely once the Legislature resumes for the fall session.

In the meantime, MPP Pettapiece has been spending time within his riding of Perth-Wellington attending some of the many community events taking place and he says he'll continue to do so throughout the summer months.

"This is something that I truly enjoy, I've been to a number events so far since the Legislature was shut down," says Pettapiece, adding, "there's always something to do and we live in such a great riding in Perth-Wellington."

The Legislative Assembly of Ontario resumes on September 12th, 2016 at Queen's Park in Toronto.
