Health Unit Looking For Dogs In Weekend Biting Incident In Hanover

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of two dogs involved in a biting incident in Hanover.

On Saturday, October 10, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a man walking his dog near the Hanover Post and the Dental clinic near 18th Ave and 7th Street encountered a girl walking two dogs.

The pair of dogs attacked his dog and the man was bitten trying to break up the altercation.

The dogs are described as a brown bulldog and a white pitbull, both weighing approximately 70 lbs.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dogs are not infectious with rabies.

By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
