Perth Wellington NDP Candidate Apologizes For Past Remarks

Perth Wellington NDP candidate Ethan Rabidoux has apologized for past remarks he made on social media, which were dug up by the website The True North Times.

In a statement on his facebook page, Rabidoux says his worldview has changed dramatically in recent years. He says things he said seven years ago do not reflect his current beliefs.

He offers a sincere apology to anyone that took offence the comments. He also says he is taking a break from the campaign trail as he battles the stomach flu.

The True North Times reports a Twitter post from Rabidoux in 2008 where the NDP candidate promises, "the next person to talk to him about climate change will get 50 punches to the head."

The website also found another post from Rabidoux that calls an assault rifle a magnificent instrument of democracy. And he states his hope that Toronto may rise again after a socialist induced sleep.

He also calls Sara Palin a VPILF.

The True North Times also dug up a post from Bruce Grey Owen Sound Liberal candidate Kimberley Love that compares Harper's administration to the Nazi’s rise to power.
