Kincardine Council holds a special meeting this afternoon to discuss the Natural Gas project.
A closed meeting has been called at 4pm to consider advice that is subject to solicitor client privilege .
Kincardine, Arran Elderslie and Huron Kinloss are working together to bring Natural Gas to the region.
A confidential Request for information process in the spring produced several high quality responses from potential partners for the distribution utility in the South Bruce area.
A preferred partner was expected to be selected by the end of summer.
The project will reportedly save consumers in the region $27 million dollars a year in lower energy costs.
The project's estimated cost is $100-million dollars.
