Bluewater council has decided to proceed with repairs to the roof of the Bayfield Arena.
Councillor Bill Whetstone, who also chairs the Bayfield Arena Community Partners Association, explains that council had agreed to use the 40 thousand dollars in reserves for repairs to the arena roof.
Whetstone says the trouble spot is the peak over the community centre. They also have to replace about two-thousand square feet of shingles above the community centre.
There is a ten year warranty on the repair work and it's scheduled to be completed before the first snowfall.
