UPDATE: Three Injured In Crash North Of Dublin

Three people have been seriously injured after a two-vehicle collision involving a livestock truck north of Dublin in Perth County.

The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police says on Wednesday around 3:40pm, a Pontiac Vibe travelling west on Line 36 proceeded into the intersection of Perth Rd. 180 directly in front of a southbound full-sized, empty livestock truck. The truck t-boned the Pontiac, forcing both vehicles into a ditch.

Two occupants of the Pontiac were airlifted to a London hospital, while one occupant remains at a local hospital. All three suffered "major" injuries according to the OPP.

The driver of the livestock truck was uninjured.

In the collision, the livestock truck struck hydro poles and took down lines of a Hydro One sub-station, resulting in a power outage to hydro customers in and around Dublin.

According to Hydro One, 514 hydro customers are without power due to the crash. Estimated restoration time has been set at 9pm.

Police have closed the intersection of Perth Rd. 180 and Line 36 while officers conduct an investigation. The intersection is expected to remain closed to traffic until around 9pm.
