Goose Collides With Driver-Side Window In Georgian Bluffs

A motorist was injured when a goose collided with her vehicle in Georgian Bluffs.

Grey County OPP says the 44-year-old Georgian Bluffs resident was driving along Grey Rd. 17 when a goose flew into the driver's side window and broke it.

The shattered glass caused minor injuries to the woman's left eye.

The Grey County OPP cautions motorists that birds like turkeys, geese and pheasants can pose a serious hazard, especially in rural areas.

In June 2014, OPP Constable Peter Tucker was taking part in a training exercise for the OPP Golden Helmets, when a goose in flight hit him. He suffered serious life-altering injuries.
