$15.6M Invested Into National Parks Infastructure On Bruce Peninsula

The federal government has announced a $15.6-million investment into infrastructure within the Bruce Peninsula’s two national parks.

The funds will help entranceways to popular sites within Bruce Peninsula National Park, including the Grotto and Singing Sands Beach, along with dock and trail upgrades on the islands in Fathom Five National Park.

Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Larry Miller made the announcement in Tobermory on Friday.

"It's very big news for the area," Miller told CKNX News, "It's the largest federal government investment in national parks in Ontario."

Miller also announced a 512-acre land donation from the Krug family to the national parks system.
