The Bluewater Area Family Health Team has received a grant of just under $1.5-million from the Health Ministry to expand their offices in Zurich.
Administrative Lead Ann Brabender explains they're currently working out of two locations in Zurich and it would be much easier for staff if had one larger office.
She says they've been given approval to recruit for two more full-time physicians, but right now they don't have room for them.
The funding will allow them to add about 3,700 sq ft to their current main building.
The Bluewater Area Family Health Team doesn't have a former affiliation with any hospital, but Brabender points out their patients choose between Clinton, Seaforth, Goderich or often South Huron hospitals.
She says they hope to be ready to start work on the addition by this fall.
