Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece is again taking action in response to skyrocketing hydro rates.
Monday he introduced 50 petitions with almost 200 signatures in the Ontario legislature supporting affordable energy.
Pettapiece launched the petition in April, calling on the government to immediately implement policies to ensure that families, farmers and businesses have affordable and reliable energy.
He received overwhelming support from people fed up with increasing hydro bills.
The government now has 24 legislative business days to provide a response to the petitions. Pettapiece will make the government’s response public on his website when it is received.
Pettapiece encourages people to continue sending him their completed petitions over the summer months. He will introduce them in the legislature in the fall legislative session.
