Man Fails To Stop At Owen Sound RIDE Check
A Thornbury man has been charged after failing to stop at a RIDE Check Saturday night in Owen Sound.
Police say they were conducting the exercise in the 800-block of 6th St. E at around 11pm when a grey Ford Ranger drove through the checkpoint.
Once the vehicle was stopped, police officials say the man failed a road side test. When he provided a sample of his breath, police say it was nearly twice the legal limit.
A 48-year-old Thornbury has now been charged with impaired driving. He is scheduled to make a court appearance on April 23.
