The outdoor rink in Victoria Park in Goderich could have a new use.
The councillor who was responsible for getting the rink in the park would like to see it moved to another location for ball hockey through the summer.
Trevor Bazinet explains the rink is too close to the tennis courts to remain in Victoria Park, but the boards are already paid for, so they could be moved somewhere else to allow young people to play ball hockey.
Bazinet has suggested moving the boards to the paved area of the former Victoria Public School.
He says the condition of the pavement and the location would make it perfect for either ball hockey or roller blade hockey.
Goderich council has agreed to look at the idea.
