Old-Tyme Maple Syrup Festival One Week Away

The largest outdoor Maple Syrup Festival in Grey and Bruce Counties is just one week away.

The Old-Tyme Maple Syrup Festival, hosted by the Saugeen Valley Conservation Foundation, is scheduled for March 28-29 at Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area, north of Paisley.

The Paisley Kinsmen will be serving pancakes and syrup both days from 10am-4pm. Prices range from $3 to $8 depending on the appetite, and you'll need cash because there is no ATM at the event.

Horse-drawn wagon rides will be offered, along with a sport-dog show, the pioneer encampment, crafts and demonstrations, and Hydro One's Electricity Discovery Centre.

To avoid parking congestion at the Saugeen Bluffs site, shuttle buses will run from Paisley.

"All proceeds from this event go directly to local conservation efforts. It’s a commitment that both the Saugeen Valley Conservation Foundation and Saugeen Conservation take very seriously in helping to provide a healthy environment for residents and visitors alike," says Ed Moric, chair of the Saugeen Valley Conservation Foundation.
