Central Huron Considers BIA Requests

Members of the Central Huron and Clinton BIA have made a couple of requests of Central Huron council.

Co-Chairs Mike Russo and Tricia Robinson addressed council Monday. Robinson explains the Community Improvement Co-ordinator's position has been vacant since December and they would like someone appointed to that position soon.

They also asked that the job description allow for twenty hours each week devoted to Clinton BIA projects.

There was an additional request for about eight thousand dollars a year from the fund that was created from the sale of Clinton Power. That money would be used by the BIA to support the maintenance of the hanging baskets and flowers on the main street as well as other promotions in the downtown core and adding wi-fi.

The requests were referred to Central Huron council's discussion on a community improvement strategic plan.
