Huron County's Economic Development Chair Optimistic

The chair of Huron County's new Economic Development Board is optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead.

Jim Lynn says they'll be holding their first planning meeting shortly with a goal of setting three or four main priorities rather than trying to be too many things to too many people.

Lynn says Huron County is well-equipped with physical infrastructure like airports and land; is well located as far as access to the U.S. and other main routes; and is ahead of most areas as far as internet connectivity.

Lynn says Huron County has a history of success in agriculture, business, and manufacturing and while the market might have changed over the last few years, he believes change isn't necessarily bad.

He adds the greatest asset Huron County has is the entrepreneurial spirit of its people and he's anxious to put that to work.
