The mayor of Huron East wants to re-open the discussion around the Vibrancy Fund that was offered to the municipality.
The offer was made by the company that's putting up wind turbines in Mckillop Township.
Bernie MacLellan explains the council of the day one year ago turned down that offer of $115,000 a year for 20 years. He says that means over the next 20 years that's $2.3-million that the municipality will have to raise through taxes.
A representative from the Huron East Against Turbines group was scheduled to speak against accepting the money last Tuesday night but couldn't make it to the meeting.
MacLellan says he doesn't want to bring it back to council until that presentation has been made.
