New construction in Owen Sound is higher than the previous year.
The city issued 275 building permits worth over $16 million dollars. 10 of those permits were for new homes.
In 2013, 263 permits were issued, worth $15.8 million dollars.
However, there were 55 new homes started in 2013.
In December, there were 12 new permits issued, worth over $2.9 million.
