A former Wiarton resident needs help to get home after an assault in Vancouver put him in hospital with a severe brain injury.
Alex Lozanski grew up in Wiarton and still has family connections in the area.
His family now lives in London and is trying to raise money to bring him home.
He received immediate surgical care after a blow to the head, and his neurosurgeon was surprised he survived.
But he has severe traumatic brain damage, and is in acute care.
Alex has no family in Vancouver and his family is trying to find support to bring him home.

So far, $18,662. has been raised to help him out.
Organizers hope to raise $35,000.
