Hanover Police Arrest Man for Stolen Firearm

A stolen firearm has been turned in to Hanover Police and an arrest has been made.
On November 16th, the Hanover Police Service received a firearm from a member of the public who had heard media reports and realized they were in possession of a firearm that they believed was linked to a weapons and drug investigation in Hanover earlier this month.
Hanover Police determined the firearm had been stolen during a residential breakin in Belleville in 2013.
A suspect was arrested on Saturday. 23-year-old Crystal O’Brien of Hanover is charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime, and Possession of Stolen Property.
O’Brien was remanded in custody.
