Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance Granted Four Year Accreditation With Commendation
The four Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance hospitals in Clinton, Seaforth, Stratford and St. Marys have been granted four-year Accreditation with Commendation.
C-E-O Andrew Williams explains one of the things the accreditation process does is force them to step back from the day to day work they focus on and examine how their quality control programs compare with current best practices.
Williams adds achieving accreditation also sends a message to your community that you’re committed to quality and safety.
“It’s a commitment ot the community that we take quality and saftey very seriously.” Williams tells CNKX News, “There is no more important area in the whole healthcare system than making sure what we do is best practice when it comes to quality.”
Williams points out going through the accreditation process is voluntary and they’ll go through it again in four years and have been given some items to work on in the next four years leading up to that next accreditation process.
