Owen Sound Woman Charged Using Makeshift Flamethrower

An Owen Sound woman faces charges after a neighbour dispute got a little heated Wednesday.
Police say the woman was having issues with her neighbours across the hall after they spoke to her about dumping garbage and food out her window.
The woman, who had been drinking, decided to spray Raid toward the entrance of the neighbour’s apartment.
When the neighbour opened her door to see what the noise was, the woman ignited the spray with a lighter and directed the makeshift flamethrower at the neighbour.
The neighbour was able to retreat into the apartment unharmed and call police.
The 50-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation.
