Rifle Deer Hunt Underway in Midwestern Ontario

The week-long rifle deer hunt started this morning.

Some residents of Midwestern Ontario can expect to hear gun shots this week. Hunters will be easily recognizable by wearing blaze orange hats, coats and vests.

The OPP and the Ministry of Natural Resources will be patrolling the area to ensure hunters are complying with all regulations.

If you witness a hunting violation, you can call 1-877-TIPS-MNR, or the OPP or Crime Stoppers.

The rifle deer hunt runs until half-an-hour after sunset on Saturday, November 8th.
