Saugeen First Nations Man Charged With Assault
A Saugeen First Nations man is facing half-a-dozen charges following a “call for assistance” to a Saugeen residence early yesterday.
As part of the police investigation, a home along Hwy. 21 of the Saugeen First Nation was cordoned off and officers obtained a search warrant.
They determined there had been a domestic incident involving a 41-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman.
The unidentified man has been charged with forcible confinement, assault cause bodily harm, assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance, uttering threats to cause death, and mischief under $5,000.
The OPP Crime Units from Bruce Peninsula and Grey County continue their investigation, with support from the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit.
