The deadline is approaching for applications under the Huron Heritage Fund.

The fund was created in 2007 and supports capital projects related to the area’s heritage.

Director of Cultural Services Meighan Wark says they’ve also supported communities or events related to history in Huron County. The program provides 50 per cent funding up to a maximum of $5,000 for eligible projects.

“Some of the projects that the Huron Heritage Fund has supported in the past have included publications related to local history, but also projects relating to plaques or bricks and mortar projects,” she says.

Complete details can be found on the Huron County web site. The deadline for applications is the end of the business day on Friday.
