Owen Sound Honours Slain Soldiers

The City of Owen Sound has lowered all city flags to half mast to honour the two Canadian soldiers killed this week.

Mayor Deb Haswell has extended heartfelt sorrow, prayers and sincere sympathy to the victims’ family, friends and loved ones.

Hamilton reservist 24-year-old Nathan Cirillo was shot and killed while standing guard at the War Memorial in Ottawa yesterday .

53-year-old warrant officer Patrice Vincent was also killed when he was deliberately run down by a car outside the federal government office in Quebec City on Monday.
