Operation Impact Keeps Perth County Busy

Perth County OPP nabbed 96 speeders, two distracted drivers, and 25 seat belt violators during the weekend’s Operation Impact campaign.
Officers conducted 13 ride programs throughout the county, and extensively patrolled the roads for agressive and distracted drivers.
The long weekend resulted in two intersection related collisions with minor injuries. Police also responded to 7 collisions involving animals. And one motorist drove into a ditch.
Perth OPP officers also handed out 10 hazardous moving violations.
The two week long Fall Seat belt campaign conducted prior to the long weekend saw 74 seat belt charges.
