Two Chepstow Roads Become Safety Zones

The two main roads in Chepstow are being changed to Community Safety Zones.
Brockton Council passed the by-law last night after receiving complaints from residents about motorists speeding through the area.
Councillor Kym Hutcheon first brought forward the proposal. She says the change is to protect the residents and children who go to the nearby school.
Hutcheon says as of next month – Chepstow roads turning into Concession 6 east and the 5th side road north and south will become Community Saftey Zones.
Motorist caught speeding in those areas can face a double fine.
