Huron OPP have identified the woman killed when a deer flew through the windshield of the vehicle she was in.

67-year old Elizabeth Neable from Tiverton was a passenger in a Ford Escape hit by the deer just after 7pm last night in Port Albert.  The driver, 69-year old Murray Neable of Tiverton, was treated for minor injuries.

Police say a Chevrolet Traverse collided with the deer near Port Albert, and sent it airborne into the other vehicle’s windshield.

No one in the Traverse was hurt.

The road is now open for travel.
