No Mayors Race in North Perth

The man challenging North Perth Mayor Julie Behrns for her seat in the upcoming municipal election has now withdrawn from the race.
That means Behrns will be acclaimed, unless another candidate for mayor comes forward before Friday afternoon’s deadline.
Ron Scott had a change of heart and removed his name from the nomination list.
There’s still a race for Deputy Mayor between current councillors Doug Kellum and Warren Howard.
