A severe storm that ripped through Mid-western, Ontario yesterday evening has left thousands of people without power, and many won’t have hydro until tonight.

Hydro One is reporting the largest outage in Grey and Bruce Counties. Around 700 customers are without power in the Sauble Beach area and more than 1000 customers are still in the dark around Owen Sound

Hydro one’s estimated restoration time is 11:00pm this evening. Same goes for the more than 300 customers in the Chatsworth, Markdale and Thornbury area.

There’s smaller scattered outages in Huron, Bruce, Perth and northern Wellington counties. Customers can expect their power back around 3:00 or 4:00pm this afternoon, according to Hydro One.
