Two men were hurt when an SUV crashed into the back of a combine on Perth Rd. 140, south of Teviotdale.

The crash happened yesterday just after 1pm.

Police say a John Deere combine was heading north bound on the east gravel shoulder of Perth Rd. 140 when the crash happened.  The impact caused extensive damage to both vehicles.

The 27-year old West Grey Township man driving the combine was taken to hospital for treatment.  The 29-year old Brockton man driving the SUV sustained minor injuries and has been charged with careless driving, and driving a motor vehicle without a valid permit.

Police are also extending a warning that farm machinery traffic tends to be heavier on Perth County roads towards the end of the summer and into the harvest months.
