Hiker On Grey County Trail Found
A hiker has her smart phone to thank after getting lost on the Grey Sauble Conservation Trail.
The 61-year old woman, visiting from Vancouver, B.C., became disoriented last night, but was able to call the OPP. By talking with her on her cell phone and the use of GPS, officers on ATVs were able locate the hiker about 1.5 km northwest of Hwy. 6 and Hwy. 10.
She was alone at the time, found in good health and returned to the bed and breakfast she was staying at.
Police say its always a good idea to hike in pairs or a group, carry a charged cell phone, and let someone know of your destination and estimated time of return.
