Questions About Bruce Telecom Sale
One Kincardine councillor wants to know why a report on the sale of Bruce Telecom has not been made public.
The $24-million sale of the municipally-owned business earlier this year has raised questions including some about closed-door meetings that Kincardine was involved in.
Councillor Randy Roppel asked Deputy Mayor Anne Eadie why a report on the sale has not been made public.
Eadie says the report will be a part of next Wednesday’s council agenda.
The Municipality of Kincardine sold Bruce Telecom to Eastlink and at the time of the sale, the Tiverton and District Ratepayers Association said it had concerns with the way council conducted the sale and the lack of transparency.
