Centre In Clinton Reaching For MoneyAugust 7, 2014 5:25pm
The REACH Centre in Clinton has asked Huron County for financial assistance.
Board Chair Larry Langan says the Centre is an economic tool that can benefit the entire county. He would like to expand the programs and provide more post-secondary training for young people in the four-county area.
Langan explained that growth has been slow over the last five years, pointing to difficult economic times. Particularly for the equine industry.
His request to County Council is for a 300-thousand dollar grant over the next five years to help the REACH Centre expand its programs. County council asked staff to study the financial request and bring a report back to council.
