MP Ben Lobb Pleased With Charity Hockey Game

Players in the 'Raise a Little Health' game pose with a $40,300 cheque.

Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb says last month’s Raise a Little Health charity hockey game in Goderich met expectations in terms of attendance and money raised. He now hopes to make it an annual event.

The game brought several NHL and junior players to Goderich at their own expense and attracted over 800 fans and raised over $41,000.

That will be shared by the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich, the Gateway Centre for Rural Health in Seaforth and the Goderich YMCA.

Lobb congratulates everyone involved for doing and excellent job and in the next few weeks they’ll sit down and assess what worked well and where they can improve. But he believes there is interest in doing it again next year and he would like to see it become an annual event.
