Water Purification Scam in Exeter

Exeter residents are being warned about a water purification system scam.

Police were called about a salesperson going door to door in Exeter attempting to sell the system.

One complainant told police the salesperson was very pushy about an $8,000, 25-year contract.

The homeowner called the company to complain and found out the salesperson was no longer employed by them.

Police are reminding residents to ask for identification, get information in writing, not to sign on the spot and know your consumer rights.
