Hanover’s homecoming is underway.

Dignitaries gathered at Hanover’s Heritage Square Thursday to officially kick off the weekend.

110 balloons were released to mark Hanover’s 110 years.

Mayor Kathi Maskell says homecoming is a way to honour the folks who came before and demonstrates Hanover’s remarkable community spirit.

It’s estimated 10,000-15,000 people will attend Hanover homecoming.

Events run all weekend and through Monday.
